Regal Busways Ltd was incorporated in July 2001 and was originally based in Newhaven East Sussex.  The company’s main business was the undertaking of Rail Replacement work at weekends. In February 2002 a business review was undertaken by the Directors at the time, which led to the business relocating to Essex and a change of direction. The new ethos was to develop the company to undertake registered service work.

Regal Busways has continued to steadily grow concentrating on providing high quality rural bus services which are operated on behalf of Essex County Council. Through this approach Regal Busways has been able to develop good strong relationships with its customers ensuring that Regal Busways has become part of local communities.
